Wilma Jean Lakey

Wilma Jean Lakey, 62, passed away of natural causes on Dec. 28, 2013, at Hillside Manor. She was born on July 27, 1951, to Gerald and Blanche Cobban in Williston, North Dakota.

Wilma enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking and many other crafts. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She also kept the family on their toes by causing trouble (in a good way).

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Clayton Lakey, Sr. She is survived by her son Clayton Lakey Jr.; her daughter Marie Lakey and one grandchild Shayaa Lakey; brothers, Dale and Pat Cobban; sisters, Carol McClure, Gerry Davis and Wanda Wager.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10 at Garden City Funeral Home with a reception following in the community room.
