-William L. Ragan "Bill", 87, passed away June 9, 2015 of natural causes at St. Patrick Hospital.
He was born Jan. 27, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA to Maurice and Catherine Ragan. He was a WWII Navy Veteran in the Seabees Division. He married Joan F. Thomas on January 21, 1952. Bill was a member of the Elks Club, he enjoyed carpentry, camping and fishing. Dad was a dedicated Fire Captain for over 27 years for the Garden Grove F.D. in southern California. He spent countless hours teaching his three daughters how to fish, during trips to the family cabin in Big Bear, CA. The cabin he built primarily by himself. Dad was a loving and caring husband to our mother during her life and years of declining health. He enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren as often as possible. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends, near and far.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a sister. He is survived by his daughters; Linda of Lolo, Nancy of Fairbanks, AK, Teri of Garden Grove; grandchildren: Michelle, Jim, Gabriel, Jami, Janiece, Kara and Andrew; 13 great grandchildren, sisters; Helen and Nancy both of New Jersey.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sat. June 13th at 3:00 p.m. at 10650 Allen Lane, Lolo, MT
Cremation is under the care of Garden City Funeral Home & Crematory.
