Will Peterson was born August 13, 1979 in Libby, MT to Wayne and Kathy Peterson. He lived there until his family moved to Coeur d’ Alene, ID in 1985. He attended Bryan Elementary, followed by Lakes Middle School and then graduated from Lake City High School in 1997. He furthered his education at ITT Tech, studying electrical engineering. He graduated with honors. He worked at Patterson Dental in Spokane for many years. Will, using his artistic talents, took an interest in creating tattoos, bought the equipment and just jumped in and started his own tattoo shop in Florence MT, called Flotown Ink. He had the shop for several years. In 2012 he began working for Jones Brothers Trucking out of Missoula until his death.
In August of 1997, Will married Andi Craig and they had 2 children, Sean and Delanie. He loved his children with all his heart and was a great dad to them. Will shared his interests with his children, living on an acreage in Montana; taught them how to grow their own food, raise chickens, took them hunting, hiking, camping, water rafting and all that living in Montana offered. He also taught them the great value of an education and to follow their dreams.
On September 29, 2018, Will and Alishia Rosales married, and they made their home in Missoula. They were such a wonderful, loving couple. They were just beginning a new chapter in their lives and with great sadness and disbelief, Will passed away May 11, 2019 at his home from a sudden medical event.
We are all at a total loss that he was taken away from us so early in his life. He had a great wit and sense of humor and everyone enjoyed his political debates with his son, Sean on Facebook. They were very thought provoking and I’m sure that was Will’s intent. Will had so many friends from every walk of life. Our lives were enriched by Will introducing us to his many friends and his many ideas. He was very mechanical and worked on many vehicles and any other machine, with his dad, uncle, son, brother-in-law, and whoever else needed help. He played basketball, darts, snowboarded, grew some really hot peppers, loved camping, hiking, hanging out with friends; always ready for a new adventure.
He leaves behind his wife, Alishia Rosales-Peterson, his two children, Sean and Delanie Peterson, sister Casey (Travis) Stephens, niece Arraya Stephens, nephew Logan Stephens and his dad and mom, Wayne and Kathy Peterson. He also leaves behind many more aunts, uncles, cousins and of course his loving friends.
A memorial celebrating Will’s life will be held in Missoula on Thursday, May 23rd at 2:00pm at Garden City Funeral Home. It’s a potluck so bring your favorite hot, cold, side dish or dessert! Also bring whatever you want to drink. All friends and family are invited. Donations to help with expenses may be sent to Glacier Bank in Missoula in Alishia Rosales-Peterson’s name.
We all love you and miss you very much Will.
HE'S MY GOD NOW!
See The Good Shepherd
Gently holding His lamb
Who was so frightened,
But now in the arms of I AM.
God saw his fears
When the lights grew dim;
The Lord knew his name
When he cried out to HIM.
The Father reached down
And held His son, Will.
It all became quiet
And everything still.
Then he saw Jesus,
Who said, "Follow me...
Open your eyes,..
Tell me, what do you see?"
The beauty of the mountains
could not even compare
To the majesty and glory,
That he witnessed there!
Unable to speak
Or even whisper a sound,
He took it all in
As he looked all around.
Thinking of his loved ones,
He caught Jesus' eye.
"Tell them I love them...
That this isn't good-bye."
"There is so much
I didn't understand,
But it all came together
When HE took my hand."
"Trust Jesus for peace
Like you've never known,
And as you walk forward,
Know you're never alone."
"My God is reaching out;
Please take HIS hand!
He will lead you and guide you;
In HIS faithful love...Stand!"
