Wayne J. Real

Wayne J. Real, 70 of Missoula Montana, went to be with his Lord & Savior January 27, 2015 after battling a long illness.
Wayne was born in Helena Montana, December 12, 1944. He married the love of his life, Dixie in June of 1966, while serving in the United States Navy. He was stationed in Long Beach California, and served as a Machinist Mate aboard the Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Bon Homme Richard off the coast of Vietnam.
After serving, Wayne and his wife Dixie and young son Jeff returned home to Montana. They settled in Kalispell, where Wayne went to work for Buttrey Foods. He worked for Buttrey' for 25 years, relocating to Yakima WA and Harlem Montana.
Wayne and Dixie relocated to Missoula in 1994. He worked with several different companies including Dales Dairy, Holiday and Tidyman's before going to work for Walmart. He retired in 2008 due to declining health.
Wayne joins his parents, James and Ellie Real, Brother Donald Real, and Sisters Sandra Dixon and Beverly Eyster.
Wayne had a wonderful sense of humor, always making those around him laugh. He loved music, especially 50's and 60's music, Neil Diamond and Gospel. When he was able he enjoyed pitching horseshoes, bowling and long walks with his family. He loved to watch his Dallas Cowboys play, Nascar racing and the Montana Grizzlies. He always enjoyed long rides to enjoy the beauty of Montana. He passed onto his son his love of hot rods. His joy was visiting with friends old and new.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Dixie, Son Jeff (Nikki), Daughter Tanna and Grandchildren Cody, Kylyn and Drekin.
Funeral services will be held at Crosspoint Community Church 7500 Mullan Road in Missoula at 1 pm, Friday February 6. A graveside service will immediately follow at the Veterans Cemetery at 1911 Tower Street in Missoula. Sunset Memorial is assisting with arrangements.
