Obituary for Walter E. Bush Jr.

Walter E. Bush, Jr. "Dipper", 63, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, at his home, with his family beside him, due to complications of multiple myeloma.

He was born March 31, 1952, at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane to Walter E. Bush Sr. and Judith Peterson Bush. Dipper and his brothers were "Air Force Brats" living in many different cities and states throughout their father's Air Force career. This explains why he was so happy to just stay home.

On Nov. 25, 1971, he married Jeanette Wills and they had just reached their 44th anniversary. They made their home at Twin Creeks, raising three daughters on "the hill", a.k.a. "Boulderville." He was a logger employed over the years by Anaconda Copper Mining Company, Champion International, Dennis Wheeler Logging, Ed Cheff Logging, McFarland Logging and Ployhar Enterprises. More recently he worked for L M Neilson and Sons as a grader operator.

Dipper was preceded in death by his daughter, Lianne Harrington; his parents and two infant brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Bush; two daughters, Crystal (Bobby) Cheff of Potomac and Lisa (George) Porter of Turah; his grandchildren, Brooke, Kelli, and Brian Cheff and Patrick and Taylor Harrington; son-in-law Tom Harrington; two brothers, Mike (Lori) Bush and Dean Bush; sister-in-law Darleen Wills; brother-in-law Sidney (Jody) Wills; as well as many nieces and nephews.

As per Dipper's request, he is to be cremated and no formal services held. There will be a potluck gathering at the Hellgate Lions Club Barn in West Riverside on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Hospice of Missoula. We wish to express with deep gratitude our thanks to the amazing health care staff at St. Patrick Hospital, Partners in Home Care, and Hospice.
