Vivian Rumer

On November 8, 2022, Vivian Rumer (94), passed away at Riverside Nursing Home. 

Vivian was born in Missoula to William Matthews and Augusta Praast on August 6, 1928. 

Vivian attended Missoula Catholic grade school and Loyola Sacred Heart. 

On December 10, 1948, Vivian married Delmar Wayne Rumer, a Missoula Police Officer. 

Vivian and Wayne were active members of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the Loyal Order of the Moose. 

Vivian had professional knitting and crochet skills.  In the early years, she custom made many beautiful cardigan sweaters. 

Vivian is survived by her children Randy Wells (Gayle), Bruce Rumer (Val), Judy Davis, Deborah Prochet (Jeff), nephew David Brester (Doreen), siblings Rita Eliason (Scott), and John Le Paine (Karin), 10 grandchildren and some great grandchildren, too!

Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Wayne Rumer, great grandson Khayree Davis and many other family members over the years. 

No services are planned, but a gathering is planned for next week.  Please contact the family for details.
