12 hours ago(0) SignaturesMISSOULA – Vivian Johnson Jensen of Missoula passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013, at home of natural causes. Her husband and daughters were at her side when she said her last goodbye and asked the Lord to let her enter the gates of heaven, finally free of pain.

She was born Nov. 29, 1927, in Philipsburg to Harry and Adelina Johnson. She was educated in grade and high school there.

On Sept. 4, 1952, she married Staff Sgt. Robert Jensen, U.S. Air Force, in Seattle. They enjoyed 61 years of love, companionship and mutual devotion. She became Robert's lady for life. Robert is a 30-year chief master sergeant, USAF, veteran and they were assigned duty throughout the United States and overseas. In 1974, they settled down in Hamilton. Vivian's entire life was devoted to being an angel of mercy in caring for others. Highlight was when she helped open the Mountain Valley Hospice house on Mullan Road in September 1995 and served those in need until it's closing Sept. 20, 2000.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed all their lives with ups and downs.

Survivors include husband, Robert of Missoula; three daughters, Sarah Williams of Roseburg, Ore., Lorri Larkin of Hamilton and Sandra Noblitt of Missoula; son, Michael (Lois) of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; special friend, Judy Bell of Florence; along with eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; brother, Harry (Buss) Johnson of Boulder; and sisters, Montana (Monty) Maples of Seattle and Elveda (James) Duus of Hamilton.

Thank you for special care by Dr. Steve Kemple, Dr. Sarah Faaborg, Dr. Jeffrey Haller and the angels of Hospice of Missoula.

No funeral services were held in honor of her request. Cremation was provided by Cremation & Burial Society of the Rockies. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
