Trisha Ann Hagan, 40, passed away suddenly, surrounded by her closest family and friends, Friday, March 4, 2016, at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula from cancer of unknown origin. She was born March 15, 1975, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio, to Bill and Connie Morrison.
Her early years were spent in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. She moved out to Colstrip, where she lived until her mother divorced and they came to Missoula in the ninth grade. She graduated from Big Sky High School. Later in life she attended the University of Montana and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2003. She was raised to be an amazing individual by her mother and stepdad, Terry, who became more of a father to her.
Trish married Thain Hagan on Sept. 12, 1997, in Missoula. The ceremony was held on a beautiful fall day. The couple had spent their entire 18-plus years together working and living in Missoula. She worked as a pharmacy technician at CVS Pharmacy.
Trish and her mother found something to share when they decided to start running in the Missoula half-marathon.. They ran these together for the last two years and were preparing to run this year again. Later in her adult life, she was baptized into the Catholic Church. She enjoyed knitting and reading a variety of books. Trish and Thain enjoyed taking vacations aboard cruise ships and were planning their 20th anniversary on board one of those ships bound for Hawaii next year.
She was a loving wife, compassionate and affectionate to people and her various pets she had through the years. She was very courageous even in the end. Trish loved being with and close to family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Anna Donahue; her grandfather, Jesse Donahue; Bill Morrison, her father; a brother, Michael; and a sister, Stacey.
Trish is survived by her husband, Thain "Ty" Hagan of Missoula; her mother, Connie McLaughlin of Missoula; her stepdad, Terry McLaughlin of Missoula; and two stepbrothers, Shane and Shawn McLaughlin.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 9, at Garden City Funeral Home from noon to 7 p.m. with the vigil service starting at 7 p.m. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 10, at St. Francis Xavier Church. The ceremony will be celebrated by Father Joseph Carver with the reception to follow at Reidy Hall. Trish will later be interred at St. Mary's Cemetery in Missoula.
In lieu of flowers at the funeral, the family would accept donations at First Montana Bank in the name of Trisha Hagan. Six people who touched Trish in different ways will serve as pallbearers for her: Bob Burton, Daniel Kobza, Shad Price, John Cummings, Lance Nelson and James Worden.
