Timothy Ailport, 73, of Clinton passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021, at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 23, 2021, at Garden City Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at gardencityfh.com
Timothy Martin Ailport, son of Glenn and Elsie (Swanson) Ailport, was born September 9, 1947, in Missoula. He grew up and attended school in Clinton. Tim went into the United States Army, from 1966-1968 and was in the Vietnam War. Tim was united in marriage with Sharon Kesterson on November 24, 1971. He went on to become a construction worker but later had an injury that kept him from working.
Tim had a passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, 4-wheeling, and snowmobiling. In his spare time, he liked to tie flies. He was known for always lending a helping hand to his friends and neighbors. Most of all, Tim cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who will be greatly missed.
Tim is survived by his children, Brice (Bobbi) Ailport and Juanita Ailport; grandchildren, Rachelle Ailport, Riley Ailport, Randy Fritz, Jeremy Spurlock, Tiana Spurlock, Joseph Stevens; brother, Larry (Barbara) Ailport; sisters, Joanne Long, Rosanne Ailport, Nancy Ailport; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon; son, Brian Ailport; brothers, Ted Ailport, Art Ailport, Tom Ailport, and Bobby Jean Ailport; sister, Mary Lou Cooper.
Tim was a kind man with a big heart and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
