Thomas White, 94, of Turah passed away on June 22. He was born in Ovando, MT in 1921, the youngest of 5. He had 3 brothers and a sister. After living in Idaho for many years, Tom attempted to join the service, but was rejected because he was colorblind. After it was discovered those who are colorblind could detect camouflage, he was drafted into the Army Air-Corps. He saw many countries as a glider pilot and moved up the ranks to Sargent.
After being honorably discharged, he met and married his wife, Kathryn and they moved to the Missoula valley. He co-owned Brian Motors where he worked on semi-trucks and later started his own business, Old Timers Boneyard, where he could enjoy his hobby of restoring old cars. He was a long-standing member of the Old Car Club.
He is proceeded in death by his wife, Kathryn and his 3 brothers. He is survived by his sister Clara, his 2 sons, Pat and Mike, 4 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Discovery Alliance Church on July 9th at 11am with a reception to follow. His military internment will be at the Veterans Cemetery on July 8th at 2pm.
