Thomas Miles Vannoy, 63, of Greenough, MT, Passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015, moving his cattle and taking care of the land he loved.
He was born on June 16, 1952 in Missoula, to Rodney and Patricia Vannoy. Tom graduated from Sentinal High School in 1971. He married Carol Ann McGary on October 13, 1973, in Shreveport, Louisiana. The couple lived the past 41 years together on the family ranch in the Blackfoot Valley.
Tom was a true Montana cowboy that lived his life for God and his family. He led by example and always had time and a smile to share with a friend. His grandchildren brought him much joy and happiness. He loved to watch them play and spend time with them on the ranch.
Survivers include his wife, Carol of Greenough, MT; three sons, Daniel (Tiffany) of Scio, OR, Samuel (Jill) of Phoenix, AZ, and Matthew of Greenough, MT; Grandchildren, Madelyn, Ella, William, Camryn, and Addison; Mother, Patricia Vannoy; Sisters, Susan (Neil) Boeh and Gail Vannoy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Vannoy.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Garden City Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 31 at Camp Utmost Lodge, 12901 Camp Utmost Way, Greenough, MT (North side of the hwy 200 between mile marker 30 & 31). Burial will follow at Seeley Lake Cemetery. Reception will follow at Camp Utmost.
