Theodore "Ted" Cowan, 75, of Missoula, died on Friday, April 17th, 2015, at Village Health Care. He passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
Ted was born on December 21, 1939 in Chinook, MT to George and Edith Cowan. He attended Chinook High school and then proudly served in the United States Navy for four years. He was stationed in Adak Alaska and was honorably discharged in 1962 as Airman Petty Officer 2nd Class. Ted was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church and sang in the church choir for many years. He was a member of the Elks club, Lions club and the Rocky Mountainaires barbershop singing group. Music was a passion for Ted, he even involved his young sons in barbershop and traveled to many performances around the Northwest. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and exploring the outdoors with his children.
Ted was a gentle, good natured man. He was always smiling, personable and loved music. He was a loving father and cherished spending time with his children.
Ted was proceeded in death by his parents George and Edith Cowan, James Cowan (brother) and Marion Culleton (Sister).
Survivors include his sons, Warren Cowan (Kim), Blaine Cowan (Shelly) and his daughter Sarah Cowan all of Missoula. Four Grandchildren Matthew, Jordan, Camryn and Andrew. His sister Sandi Cowan from Billings and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
