Obituary for Teresa Irene Unger

– Teresa Irene Unger, 62, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at St. Patrick Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 21, 1953, in Missoula to Albert and June Unger.

Teresa attended Bonner School, and graduated from Sentinel High School in Missoula. She married Jerry Dufresne, and together had three wonderful sons. They were later divorced. Teresa spent the past 30 years with the love of her life and partner, Gene Roquette.

Teresa was very proud of her three sons, Shane Dufresne, Joby Dufresne and Guy (Denise) Dufresne, and of her four grandchildren, Jaiden, Damon, Hailey and Madysin Dufresne. She loved berry picking, camping, sightseeing, crocheting and doing crafts with family and friends. She was a great cook and wonderful baker, which was appreciated by all!

Teresa Unger is also survived by her older sister, Nadeane Unger of Palo Alto, California; brother Bill (Kristine) Unger of Missoula and sister Phyllis Hambley formerly of Missoula. Her nephew Jesse (Carrie) Hambley of Missoula held a special dear place in Teresa's heart.

Teresa was a special lady who loved so many, and was enjoyed by all. She always said her life was blessed by her family and greater family and very dear friends in the Potomac area.

Celebration of life and potluck gathering will take place at the Potomac Community Center, Saturday, Feb. 20, from 1 to 3 p.m. Teresa's family looks forward to sharing this time with her friends.
