Teresa 'Terry' Lafazia, 65, passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at Beehive Homes of natural causes.
She was born May 7, 1948, in Brigham City, Utah, to Vern and Carol Hafner. As a young girl, she lived in Wyoming and later moved to California, where she graduated from high school. She attended college in Sacramento, Calif., graduating with a degree in business.
In 1969, she married Tony Doonan, whom she later divorced and then met Domenic LaFazia, whom she married in 1980. Terry owned a women's accessory shop in Old Town Sacramento and traveled extensively throughout Europe on buying trips for the store.
She enjoyed traveling and being with her friends. Her smile could light up a room. She was a wonderful, loving person who took special interest in her many nieces and nephews. Her dogs were her best friends and they played a special part in her life.
A special thank you to Sharon and the staff at Beehive Home 4 for their loving and constant care. They are truly angels here on earth. Their sincere love of Terry was evident and very much appreciated.
Terry was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Holt. Survivors include her father, LaVern Hafner and stepmother and best friend Nancy Hafner of Reno; sisters, Tamara Radich (Terry) of Arvada, Colo., Tracy Scussel (Jeff) of Florence and Wendy Caldwell of Provo, Utah; and brother, Todd Hafner (Kyle) of Bellingham, Wash.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family suggests any memorials be send to an animal shelter of your choice.
