Obituary for Tammy G. DuBois

June 30, 1960 – March 31, 2014 MISSOULA – Tammy Gore DuBois, 53, of Missoula, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, at her home in East Missoula due to complications from pancreatic cancer.

The youngest of five girls, Tammy was born June 30, 1960, in Missoula to Oliver and June Gore. Though it's impossible, in a few short sentences, to measure the significance and impact of one's life, those who knew her well know they are fortunate to have received her friendship and love.

She grew up in East Missoula and graduated from Hellgate High School in 1978. From the places she worked to a marriage that brought into this world two beautiful daughters to her years as a member of the Five Valley Chorus of Sweet Adelines and to a pending second marriage, Tammy has left an enduring impression of kindness and generosity.

She enjoyed bowling, camping and boating (with her fiancé Tim), gardening, singing and dancing, spending time with family, and participating annually in Relay for Life.

Survivors include her two daughters and their boyfriends, Taylor (Dustin), (and her soon-to-be grandson Tristyn) and Kelsey; mother June Gore; four sisters and their husbands, Sheila (Jim) Fitzsimmons, Rita (Jim) Milligan, Cindy (Randy) Slane and Roxi (Dane) Deda; numerous nephews and nieces; fiancé (Tim Lande); and her two black cats, Ducky and Rastiene. She was preceded in death by her father, Oliver Gore.

Let us remember Tammy as she was before a horrible cancer invaded her body – full of life and love. In this regard, friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering. This memorial will take place on Saturday, April 19, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Kettlehouse Brewing in Missoula at 313 N. First St. W
