Tammela Marie Spencer Marty

Tammi Marty, 43, of Missoula, went to be with her Lord on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, at Community Medical Center due to a pulmonary embolism.

She was born May 26, 1971, in Missoula, the daughter of Raymond Lee Spencer and Diane Marie Gilbertson. She lived in western Washington most of her life, where she met and married her soul mate, Shawn J. Marty. The Martys moved to Missoula, where Tammi's heart had always been, after the death of her grandfather, Lee.

Tammi will be remembered for her loving, joyful spirit and a smile that could light up a room. She was so very, very proud of her children, whom she adored and cherished. Her husband and children were the lights of her life. She volunteered with the Missoula Food Bank and attended Missoula Alliance Church.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Lee Warren Spencer, Regina May Spencer and Harriet Gilbertson; and her stepfather, Daniel Malone. Tammi is survived by her dearly loved family, including her husband, Shawn J. Marty; children, Tiara Marie, RayLee Patricia, Shawna-Lynne, Jesse L. and Teddy J.; parents, Randy (Patricia) Spencer and Diane Malone; sister, Leanna (Rick) Meier; brother, Ryan Lynn (Ja'Nette) Spencer; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; and many close friends.

A memorial service will be held at Missoula Alliance Church, 100 E. Foss Court, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the family. Condolences to the family may be sent to missoulafuneralhomes.com.
