Obituary for Tamie Kay Furrer

We lost our beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend. Tamie Kay Furrer, 56, of Missoula, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016.

She was born in Spokane and moved as a young child to Missoula. She attended Whittier Grade School and Sentinel High School.

Tamie had a contagious smile and always was laughing. She loved any and all babies. She enjoyed having visits from her family. Her grandsons Malachi and Gabriel were spoiled with her love and laughter. She liked to get all dressed up for holidays and family gatherings. Double Front Chicken was always her first choice for any dinner out.

Tamie was a brave and strong women. She struggled medically due to her many autoimmune diseases. She endured immense pain in her lifetime. She will be missed by so many.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Walter Furrer; a sister, Pamela June and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her mother Janet Furrer of Missoula; her daughter Sharona and Jay LaRose and two grandsons, Malachi and Gabriel of Kalispell; her son Mario and Alina Rudy of Missoula, who made sure she got out to enjoy the community; her two brothers, Ron and Chuck Furrer; her two sisters, Debbie Shepard and Lynn Pasqualetti, and all of their families; her godchildren, Jaylene Shepard of Missoula and Jason Shepard of Oregon. She also has many other nieces, nephews and aunts, uncles and cousins and special friends who took great care of her over the years.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 18, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 7405 Mullan Road. Viewing 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Graveside service and potluck to follow. Please bring your favorite dish.

Donations and memorials can be made in her name to Sunset Memorial Gardens at 7405 Mullan Road, Missoula, MT 59808.

Tamie, we love you and will miss you! You courageously earned your angel wings. Your love of God and nightly prayers will never be forgotten. As Tamie would say, "God Bless you, sweet dreams." And to her mom, "Don't forget to lock your doors."
