It is with great sadness I write of the death of our beautiful sister Suzie Johns-Bourdeau, her passing has left us with a void which can never be filled. Suzie, or Hamster as she was affectionately called, was a wonderful wife and mother. Her kindness was overflowing and her generosity proved a testament to all of those fortunate enough to make her acquaintance.
Suzie entered this world on Oct. 22, 1948, when she was born in Missoula to Philip and Gina Johns as the middle daughter of three girls. Suzie was a bright and cheerful soul who loved life and family, especially evening gatherings where comradery, good food, wine and song were enjoyed by all. Suzie was the life of the party. Her lovely voice led us in choruses lasting into the wee hours of the morning. We will miss her cabbage rolls and her kibbeh every Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Suzie was blessed with her daughter Danyea who gave her two grandchildren, together, they were the light of her life and a source of great pride for her.
Suzie was an excellent chef and bartender – her long career in the service industry spanned some 33 years taking place in several establishments on Missoula's historic Front Street. It was there she met her husband Bruce Bordeau. She lived happily with Bruce and her beloved Boston terriers for the next 30 years. Suzie left us on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015, after a brief battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Bruce; daughter Danyea; granddaughters, Izzy and Evelyn; sisters, Linda, Barbara and Becky; brother Michael; niece Carol; nephew Srikanon and her bulldogs, Tupelo and Emmie Lou.
At Suzie's request, the family will have a small private service for immediate family. Condolences may be sent to Linda Kindred at 910 Seventh St., Missoula, MT 59802-5715.
