Stephen David Sickles

Steve was 85 when he left this world in his favorite recliner at his home on Friday , November 22, 2013.
He was born on July 17, 1928 in Jackson Ohio to William and Grace Sickles. He grew up in the Springfield Ohio area and later moved to Medina Ohio where he meet Edith. On May 16, 1963 he married Edith and they were together for 63 years. They lived in Juneau Alaska , Big Fork MT and settled in Missoula MT. Steve served in the military from 1954 to 1956 at Fort Hood TX and moved to Missoula in 1975.
He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, old cars and was an avid outdoorsman. Steve took his trophy Elk at 75 years old. He worked in construction most of his life and operated Sickles construction in Juneau Alaska.
Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather survivors include his wife Edith Sickles, 2 sons Mike and Mark Sickles and their families. 3 grand children ;Kayla Gehrke and family, Marcus Sickles and Chad Sickles .His great grandchildren include Landon, Justine and Keaton Gehrke.
Though Steve was ill the last several years of his life and was for the most part house bound, he never lost his sense of humor and positive attitude. He still talked about that one more Bass fishing trip! Steve will be missed, remembered and loved forever.
