Stefan Aaron Jones

Stefan AAron Jones passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016. He was born Nov. 29, 1974, in St. Ignatius. He graduated from Plains High School in 1993. While in high school, he was a member of the football and wrestling teams.

After high school he became a certified mechanic. He made Missoula his home, and cars his life. His passion was demolition derby, and his friends and family sponsored many cars. He won trophies for his talent to drive and create the perfect derby car. He always expressed his strong dislike for FORDS.

On July 4, 2003, he married his love, Barbara Lynn Stolle. They had one daughter, Hannah Margaret Jones, born Aug. 4, 2005. He had two sons, Chad and Chandler Franks.

He was a simple man of not many words. He was a loving husband and father. He took great care of his friends and family.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jones; daughter, Hannah Jones; sons, Chad and Chandler Franks; his mother, Teri Ferguson; his uncle, Stephen and Aunt Patty Jones; two sisters, J'lyn, and Jennifer; two brothers, Michael and Jeremy; many sisters- and brothers-in-law; and lots of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Jones.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at Garden City Funeral Home, 1705 W. Broadway. There will be a potluck reception immediately to follow.
