Shirley Ann Verworn (Randolph)

Shirley Ann (Randolph) Verworn, 79, passed away at Brendan House in Kalispell, MT on Sept. 3, 2014. She was born August 10, 1935 to Bonnie and Keith Randolph.
Shirley grew up in Missoula and spent much time at the "Ranch" which is now the Randolph/Moon Homestead. When she was a young woman, she met Gordon Verworn at a dance. They were married December 31, 1954 and were married for 52 years.
Shirley worked as a nurse at the St. Pat's ER, then for many years at the Western Montana Clinic. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, and dancing. She loved her family, flowers, dogs, babies and chocolate. She also enjoyed music, especially gospel songs.
She is survived by her sons Brad (Carla) Verworn and Jeff Verworn; grandchildren, Hilary (Sean) Patterson, Bryan Verworn, Allen (Destiny) Verworn, Stephanie Verworn, Robert Verworn, Ron Hills, and Jake (Kristen) Rozier; great grandchildren, Emma Lee and Cici Verworn, Annie and Graeme Patterson, and Gabriel Rozier; and her sister Norma Jean Guthridge.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Gordon Verworn; her parents Bonnie and Keith Randolph; sisters Ione King and Irene Leidorf and grandson Nathan Verworn.
Visitation will be held on Sun. Sept. 7th at Garden City Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A celebration of Shirley's life will be held Monday, September 8th, at 11:00 a.m. at Garden City Funeral Home with burial to follow at Missoula City Cemetery. A reception will be held after the burial at Garden City Funeral Home.
