Shirley Stephens (Schneider)

Shirley Stephens, 74, of Missoula passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Hillside Health and Rehabilitation.
Shirley Martha Stephens, daughter of Adolf and Martha (Sommerfeld) Schneider, was born April 2, 1946, in Missoula. She attended school in Missoula. Shirley had three children, Michael, Katherine, and Matthew.
She worked at the Missoula Textiles Services for most of her working career. After retiring, she enjoyed tending to her flower garden. Most of all, Shirley loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Shirley is survived by her children, Michael (Geneva) Stephens; Katherine (Michael) Park; Matthew (Melissa) Stephens; four grandchildren, Michael Stephens, Jr.; Jordan Gow; Morgan Gow; Mason Stephens; three great grandchildren, Everli; Oaklyn; Scarlett; sister, Ester Lathim; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolf and Martha Schneider; sisters, Verna, Bertha, Mabel, Alice, Donna, Katie, and Violet.
A committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2020 at the Missoula City Cemetery with Pastor Chris Flohr officiating. A reception will begin at 3:00 p.m., Friday, August 28, at the Montana RailLink Park (2110 S. Johnson St. Missoula, MT 59801). Arrangements are under the care of Garden City Funeral Home.
