Sherry T Baker

December 31, 1969 — November 29, 2018

Sherry Treichel Baker, 55, of Missoula passed away peacefully on Thursday November 29, 2018 surrounded by loved ones.

Sherry was born April 29, 1963 to Janice and Harry Treichel, she was raised with her sister Janet in Missoula. Sherry and Janet attended Target Range elementary and Hellgate High school. Throughout childhood they enjoyed roller skating and attending dances together. During high school Sherry also began her passion for photography, with the help of her father they learned how to develop film in a dark room Harry specially set up for that purpose. As a family they would embark on camping, hiking, huckleberry picking and crystal hunting adventures together.

Her generosity and loving nature attracted many people to become family throughout the years she was an amazing and loving Daughter, Sister, Niece, Cousin, Aunt, Mom (of many), Grandma, Great Grandma, Wife and friend. She meant so much to so many people that our family now has no limit. Sherry started her family at a young age giving birth to her oldest daughter Chelleay in 1980, middle daughter Jessica in 1983 and youngest daughter Amanda in 1984. She raise her children (and many of their friends) with her husband Terry Childres of 19 years whom preceded her in death November 2002.

In the fall of 2009 Sherry met her love Dean Baker they connected because of there similar interests of taking drives on dirt roads anything from trips to Gem Mountain, Skalkaho Falls, Deer Creek and anywhere a dirt road could take you, They would never take a drive without enjoying their love of great music. This love of music brought them to attend many concerts together. Always enjoying each others company they Married on June 29, 2015 and he lovingly was still by her side in her passing.

Sherry’s many passions in life included spending time with friends and family most definitely her grandchildren and her great granddaughter. She really enjoyed her job at Paradise falls which she was employed for over 15 years. Working there she gained so many more friends that were so important to her. Outside of work Sherry loved gardening, always having the most beautiful flowers beds, a trait she got from her momma. She enjoyed all sorts of crafting including beading, sewing, embroidery and anything she could make for others. She would make everything from christmas earrings to custom baby blankets and anything in between. Sherry loved to love everyone and in return we know she also was truly loved by all.

She was preceded in death by Josh Finch, Terry Childres, James Childres, Joe Case, Ron Parrish,Tammy Burton, Kathy Finch, Darrell Ward, Harry Treichel, and Tom Ponton
She is survived by her Mother; Janice Treichel, Husband; Dean Baker, Sister; Janet Treichel
(Ken), Daughters; Chelleay Treichel (Joe), Jessica Wood (Will), Amanda Wood (Jim), Lori Cook (Kenneth), Nephew; Billy Needles, Niece; Cassie Needles (Adam), Grandchildren; Kaleb Dexter (Delaney), Paigelyn Nelson, Teegan Nelson, Steven Cook, and Gracie Cook Great Nieces; Taylor Needles, Jazymine Wrong, Alexia Vessey, Persephanie Crocker, Great Granddaughter Avalee Dexter and large number of extended family and friends she considered as family.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Garden City Funeral Home on Friday December 7th, 2018 at 3pm. It is a potluck but food will also be provided. If you would like to bring a dish please feel free but don't feel obligated.
