Shawn Patrick Crispin, 43, passed away at the family home due to a firearm accident on March 3, 2017. He was born on January 11, 1974 in Missoula, MT, the son of Bill and René Crispin.
Shawn was raised in Lolo and Missoula. He met Heather Schneiter in 8th grade at C.S. Porter and they dated throughout high school, graduating from Big Sky High School in 1992. Together they became the proud parents of Kyla in 1997 and Conner in 2000. Shawn enjoyed following their sports and other activities and was one of their biggest fans.
He learned the drywall trade through the family business, Tucker Drywall. Eventually he started his own business, Crispin Drywall. He became a master drywall finisher whose talent was appreciated and requested by many. Nothing was beyond his ability to "fix' or repair, even when those projects turned out to be more challenging than he expected.
Shawn was an avid fisherman and passed his love of fishing and spending time on the water to his kids. He also enjoyed hunting, especially near the family property by Seeley Lake. Whether he was four wheeling or mowing the lawn, he was happiest being outdoors. Everyone knows that Shawn bled black and yellow for the Pittsburgh Steelers. In his honor, the family will continue his tradition of hanging the Steelers flag on game day.
He was preceded in death by his father William Crispin, uncle Bob Crispin and stepfather Albert Tucker. He leaves behind the love of his life and best friend Heather, his two pride and joys Kyla and Conner, his mother René Crispin Tucker, brother Bill Crispin, sister Angie (Brian) Fuhrmann, parents-in-law Jim and Pam Schneiter, sisters Sheila Cox, Dawna (Robert) Forbes and Lisa Tucker; brothers Albert (Cindy) Tucker and Frank Tucker, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and his cat Rusty.
A celebration of life will take place Friday, March 10, at the Union Club (208 E. Main) between 1:00 and 3:00. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting www.gardencityfh.com.
