Sharon M Bickel, 83, passed away at her home on October 12, 2023, of natural causes.

She was born on April 3, 1940, in Missoula Montana to Louise (Koble) Bickel and James E Bickel. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1958 and furthered her education with a degree at St. Patrick's School of Nursing and graduated in 1961 as a Registered Nurse.

Sharon worked in Florida as an RN but came back and went to school at the University of Montana and received a degree in accounting. Sharon went to work at St. Patrick's Hospital in the business office until her retirement in early 2000.

Sharon enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, and her four dogs throughout her life, Bucky, Charlie, Scooter, and Callie. She loved all kinds of sports, especially Osprey baseball (Paddleheads), and was a season ticket holder. She enjoyed watching the Grizzly football games on TV and men's basketball. Sharon also enjoyed watching the Seattle Mariners baseball team.

Sharon is survived by her brother, James Bickel, and wife Barbara Bickel; Robert Bickel with wife Shelly Bickel plus their two children, Riley Bickel and Randy Munden, wife Chloe Munden, and their boys Rennan and Banks. Shawna Cowan with husband Ross Cowan and their children Rachel (Cowan) Evans with husband Tommy Evans, Ashley Cowan, and Fiancé Damyan Smith. Sharon also has many cousins located in Washington, Missoula, and Billings.

A committal service will take place on Wednesday, April 3, at 12:00 p.m. at old St. Mary’s Cemetery on Turner St. 

The family would like to invite relatives, friends, and neighbors to the service. 

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to any favorite rescue animal shelter or the Human Society in Missoula.
