Obituary for Sharon J. Bruce

Sharon Jean Bruce passed away from Idiopathic Pulmonarry Hypertenson on Friday, Nov. 20, 1949. She fought hard to beat the battle. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. She will be missed dearly.

She was born on Nov. 29, 1949, to Bessie and George Gass in Havre. She grew up in Joplin and went to school in Joplin. She went to college for one year as she wanted to be a teacher.

At that time, she met and married Richard Bruce and the two were married on New Year's Eve in 1969. Years gone by, they adopted three kids. The lived in Great Falls, Billings, Sandpoint, Idaho, Missoula and then Turah. Mom loved Turah. She worked at St. Patrick Hospital, Bell Aire Hotel, Hunters Glen, The Springs of Missoula and Fresh Natural Cleaners as a seamstress.

She loved to sew, knit, crochet and other craft projects. She loved to collect angels, African Violet plants. She loved to read and play Solitare City from her Kindle. She was a huge Barry Manilow fan and John Wayne fan. She would watch Law & Order, Perry Mason, Carol Burnett Show and Matlock. She always loved to spend a day in town with her daughter and just to shop. She loved Joann Fabrics as she could spend hours in the store, and she also loved to shop at Goodwill, craft fairs and thrift stores. She also enjoyed going to Martha's Sewing Ministry as she loved all the ladies there.

She was preceded in death by George and Bessie Gass and her aunt Lilla St. Pierre.

She is survived by husband Richard Bruce of Turah; daughter Kathy Bruce of Turah; son Wyatt Bruce of Missoula; son Yancy Bruce of Missoula and older brother John Gass of Great Falls.
