Shari Lynne Miller

Early in the morning of May 31, 2016, Shari left us to sleep with the angels after a courageous, hard fought battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family, her dear friend Jeanie Hull and her beloved dog Maddie.
Shari was born April 2, 1963 in Vermillion, South Dakota to Don and Sue Miller. Her family later moved to Missoula where Shari attended grade school, and graduated from Sentinel High School in 1981. She attended the University of Montana and graduated in 1988 with a degree in home economics with an emphasis on fashion merchandising. After graduation she began her career at JC Penney in Missoula where she worked for several years, then transferred to the JC Penney store in Boise, Idaho. She left JC Penney in Boise to manage a high end jewelry store in Boise. Shari later returned to Missoula and began a management position at Macy’s. After several years at Macy’s, she left to pursue her love of beautiful jewels and took the store manager position at Stoverud’s Jewelers in downtown Missoula, where she also obtained her GIA degree.
When Stoveruds closed in 2009, Shari returned to management at JC Penney in Missoula, where she continued to work until her death.
Shari’s beautiful smile, contagious laugh and her hilarious sense of humor will be remembered and missed by so many people that loved her.
Shari was preceded in death by her father Donald C. Miller, her mother Sue C. Britton and her step father Donald J. Britton.
She is survived by her beloved Shih Tzu Maddie, her sister Suzie Stehr and brother in law Ryne Stehr (KB) of Roseburg, OR, her niece Krissy Stehr of Salem, OR and her step brother Bruce Britton (Marian) and niece Quinn Britton.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Hospice of Missoula, 800 Kensington, Suite 204, Missoula, MT 59801.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wed. June 8, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church 202 Brooks Street, Missoula.
