– Sandy Lee Kenyon, 56, of Stevensville, passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2013. She was born to Harold and Jane Walker on July 4, 1957, in Abington, Pa.
Sandy grew up in Upper Dublin, Pa., and attended Slippery Rock College in Pennsylvania before attending Montana State University, where she received an art and teaching degree. She taught art to elementary school children for 20 years, and was a lifelong artist.
She loved the mountains, flowers and trees, anything of the Earth. She was an avid rock climber in her 20s, and enjoyed wild adventures such as paragliding and ice climbing. She married Craig Kenyon at age 25, and they had two beautiful children together, Mathew, now age 24, and Molly, now age 21. Sandy and her husband divorced in 1999. About two years later, she met her life partner, Tony Jarussi.
Sandy was the most amazing mother in the entire universe and taught her children so many important things, such as kindness, unconditional love, to not judge others, the wonderful use of one's imagination, to laugh at the little things in life, to have a grateful heart and to truly enjoy the present moment. Despite her struggle with fibromyalgia, she managed to give all her love and support to her two children. She also taught them the beautiful gift of art. Her daughter and son still practice art to this day.
Sandy was a rare being, full of so much love and compassion. She cherished spending time with her family, friends and pets. She touched so many people's lives while she was here. Sandy was a jewel on this Earth and now is a beautiful jewel resting in heaven. She will always be remembered and never forgotten, and will always be very much loved and missed by all those she blessed with happiness and love
