Sandra Marie "Sandy" Turner

Sandra Marie "Sandy" Turner passed away Monday, June 8, 2015, at Community Medical Center.

Sandy was born Feb. 17, 1969, in Great Falls to William and Ilene (Mattern) Turner. The family moved to Missoula in October 1972 and Sandy attended school there.

Sandy worked as a cook at Muralt's Travel Plaza. She dedicated her time to watching over her nieces and nephews as they grew up.

Sandy was preceded in death by her brother, Pat, May 1996; her mother, Ilene, August 2005; and her sister, Ellen "Sis", May 2010.

She is survived by her father, William Steinhatchee of Florida; her brothers, Gordon (Doris) Mattern of Great Falls, Buster (Cindy) of Missoula, John (Ruth) of Lolo, Les of Missoula, Carl (Michelle) of Missoula and Karey of Missoula; and her sisters, Leah (Stan) McClain of Cross City, Florida, and Carmen (Ken) Heichel of Kalispell; and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and special friends to include her boyfriend Gordy, Susan Schwab and Char.
