Roy Lavern Wall, 82, of Missoula, passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, at Community Medical Center.
He was born June 30, 1933, in Hamilton to G. Roy and Lucy Bennett Wall. He was raised in Hamilton and graduated from Hamilton High School. He married Nadine Bryant on Dec. 5, 1959, in Missoula. She preceded his death on May 6, 2005.
A veteran of the U.S. Army and U. S. Army Reserve, he was a longtime resident of Missoula and retired from Champion International. He enjoyed woodworking and working in his yard. His favorite pastime was spending time with friends, family and grandchildren.
Roy is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Cecelia Wall of Twin Falls, Idaho; daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Lawrence Griffin of San Diego; grandchildren, Spencer Wall, Brandon Wall and Katrina Griffin; brothers and sisters, Elmer Wall, T. Dee (Carol) Wall, Marian Thurman, Ronald Wall, Edward (Trudy) Wall, Delbert (Janet) Wall, Dena Pamin and Randy Wall; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine; son, James Wall; parents, G. Roy and Lucy Wall; one brother, Robert Wall; and two sisters, Vesta Cook and Shirley Houldson.
Roy wished to be cremated and no services held. He will have his remains buried with his wife Nadine at Missoula City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in his name to American Lung Association. Condolences and memories can be shared with the family at missoulafuneralhomes.com.
