Rosemary Rife Sims

Rosemary Rife Sims of Missoula passed away on November 16, 2017 at her home surrounded by her children.
Rosemary was born on May 15th 1928 in Dillon, MT to Edgar and Leah Rife.
She spent her childhood on the family ranch at Medicine Lodge and attended Armstead elementary school. She attended high school at Sacred Heart Academy in Missoula and later at Stevensville High School where she met Warren.
Rosemary and Warren married in 1946 in Missoula. Together they lived, laughed, played and loved for 70 years of marriage.
Rosemary had an infectious laugh and smile that she shared with everyone she met.
Rosemary was an amazing woman who raised, guided and loved 7 children, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Rosemary enjoyed hiking, painting, fishing with Warren and even learned to cross country ski at the young age of 88. She and Warren spent many winters in Arizona and summers at Canyon Ferry.
Rosemary had a full and happy life and she was never afraid to try something new or make a new friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband Warren, her son Brian, parents Edgar and Leah Rife, sister Billie Ann McGovern and great grandchildren Shaffer and Grace.
Survivors include her children: Larry (Karen) Sims, Linda Sims, Pam (Jim) Sims Clapham, Paula (Ray) Slater, Cathy (Larry) Donaldson, and Chris (Don) Watson.
Grand children: Jennifer, Jodi, Dawn, Lisa, Angela, Andy, Amy, Jayson, Mike, Brady, Beau, Larissa, Byron and Jessica.
Great Grand Children: Kiefer, Makenzee, Carter, Wyatt, Kaleb, Bailey, Emily, Mathew, Jacob, Danner, Dawson, Elly, Cavin and Jaya.
Rosary will be said on Saturday Nov. 18 at 6:00PM at St. Ann’s Parish in Bonner, MT. Funeral Mass will take place Sunday Nov. 19 at 11:00A.M. also at St. Ann’s Parish in Bonner, officiated by Father Jozef Perehubka, a reception will follow.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Mike Lloyd, Brady Donaldson, Beau Donaldson, Andrew Nichols, Jayson Slater and Byron Watson.
A private burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Stevensville.
