Rosemary Harrison

June 6, 1949 — November 24, 2024

Rosemary Sayer Harrison, born June 6, 1949, passed away peacefully at home in the early hours of November 24, 2024 after having spent the day surrounded by her loving family. Rosemary was a beacon of kindness and determination, known for her unwavering commitment to her family, friends and faith. While there are not enough words to describe Rosemary’s enormous positive impact on the world, we will certainly try.

Throughout her life, Rosemary exemplified the virtues of hard work, kindness and moral integrity. Her commitment to do the right thing and her deep love for God guided her actions and decisions, earning her the respect and admiration of all who knew her. Rosemary was a devoted wife, mother and friend, whose caring nature and generous spirit touched the lives of many.

Rosemary’s zeal for life was evident in her many interests including singing, the arts, education, and animals (especially cats and horses), but most revolved around her love for God, friends and family. Whether entertaining or traveling with those she loved, Rosemary took great pride in having fun and making memories with her favorite people. She found immense joy in celebrations and holidays, always bringing warmth and happiness to those around her. Rosemary’s main passion was her family and her dedication to them was unparalleled. She was always a loving and supportive presence, ready to lend a hand, offer a word of encouragement, or be the firm hand of accountability if the situation called for it. Her family, particularly her grandchildren, were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Throughout her life, Rosemary continuously demonstrated her passion for helping people by contributing to society in multiple different ways. Some of these included: Supervisor of Speech Therapy at Billings Public Schools, establishing the Speech Clinic in Arlington, VA, Owning and operating Bitterroot Speech and Hearing in Missoula, MT, serving as President of the Montana Speech and Hearing Association and the Missoula Education Foundation (MEF), serving on the Missoula County Public Schools District #1 School Board for 9 years (School Board Chair- 2 years), being the Director of the Montana School Board Association (2000-2003) and working as a Real Estate Agent for over a decade. Through these and various other community groups and positions, Rosemary always looked for ways to serve others.

Rosemary’s legacy is one of love, compassion and unwavering faith. She leaves behind a family who adored her and countless friends who will miss her dearly. Rosemary is survived by her husband Doug; her children Greg (Correy), Allie, Dylan (Christie) Laslovich; her grandchildren Abby and Dylan; her sister Jeanette (Mike) McKee; her in-laws Ed and Ivon Harrison; her sisters-in-law Nita Hunt and Susan Hilton; her nephews and nieces Chris (Natasha), Stacy (Connor), Mikal, Jennifer (Robert), James (Lauren), Crystal (Kyle), Michael (Audrey), Rachel (Aron), Leah (Colton), and their children; and countless other friends and family who loved her.
