Rosalie Mae Jeppesen

Rosalie Mae Jeppesen passed away peacefully on December 24, 2022 surrounded by her family at Providence St. Patrick Hospital.

Rose was born on September 6, 1937 to William and Hazel (Hagen) Smith in Hillsboro, North Dakota. She was the oldest of five children. She graduated from Casselton High School. That summer she moved to Missoula, Montana to live with her cousin and a friend to pursue new adventures. While working at Safeway, she met her future husband, Randolph Jeppesen.

Randy and Rose were married on August 16, 1958 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Missoula. While Randy pursued his Physics degree, they made their home in Illinois, New York and New Mexico. Together they raised three children in Missoula.
Rose had a very strong faith which saw her through both the good and the challenging times of her life. She was a founding member at Atonement Lutheran Church and was active until her health declined.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents (Bill and Hazel), her brother (Marvin), her sister and husband (Caroline and Ralph), her sister-in-law (Carol), her husband (Randy) and her son (Ron).

Rose is survived by her brothers, DuWayne (Mary) Smith and LeRoy Smith; her daughters, Lori Cummings and Trish (Phil) Flores; her grandchildren, Nathan and Jenna Cummings, Jeremy and Eva Flores, Jordan Cummings and Dylan Voss, Randy Flores and Jazzelle Elias; and her great grandchild, Jada Rose Cummings. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of the fourth floor north of Providence St. Patrick Hospital for the care they provided Rose during her last days. Their kindness will be remembered and cherished.
