RONALD “RON” LEE DODGE Ronald Lee Dodge, 64, of Thompson Falls, Montana, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, in Missoula, Montana. Ron was born on December 17, 1960, in Sandpoint, Idaho, to Clarence Wayland and Ruth Carol (Hart) Dodge.
He grew up and went to school in Thompson Falls. After, he went on to attend University of Montana in Missoula. He married his first wife of fifteen years, on November 6, 1982. They went on to have two children, Melissa Rose, on November 6,1983 and three years later, to the date, November 6, 1986, Ronald Wayland was born. Yes, Ron was a numbers man. Those who know, know.
In the fall of 1984 Ron dedicated his life publicly and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He wanted to share his faith and hope in an everlasting life on earth, with everyone he knew. Psalms 37:29 A large highlight of his life was his time working for Explorations in Trout Creek. He truly found his niche working alongside the teenagers, as a peer guidance counselor. Every single person out there, touched Rons heart.
Ron enjoyed spending his free time being in the great outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, (and was pretty good at it), camping with his brothers at mountain lakes, swimming, spending time with family, teaching his Siamese cat, Kitt…to fetch, road tripping, listening to music, hunting, skiing, cooking, gathering fall firewood, spending time with his granddaughter, and sharing promises from the bible with others. Revelation 21:3,4 Ron loved life.
Survivors include his daughter, Melissa Rose (Justin) Mandaguit; granddaughter, Mia Roselyn; sister, Sharon (Manny) Finney; brothers, Larry (Bev) Dodge, Mark (Char) Dodge, Nathan Dodge and Loren (Crystal) Dodge; four beautiful nieces, three handsome nephews, as well as numerous loving immediate and extended family members.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Ruth Dodge; brothers Robert (Bob) Dodge and Fred Dodge; son, Ronnie Dodge; granddaughter, Halia Elisabeth, as well as his beloved animals, Poppy the piglet, and three very faithful labradors, Dusty, Dakota, and Beau. Funeral
Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1197 Mt Silcox Dr, Thompson Falls, MT 59873, on Saturday March 1, 2025, at 1pm. Online streaming will also be available on ZOOM.
