MISSOULA - Rodney S. Wageman, 60, passed Monday, December. 29, 2008.
Rodney was born November. 7, 1948, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Rudy Wageman and Jacqueline Aldrich. Rod grew up in Spokane, and attended schools in Washington.
Upon graduation from high school, Rod joined the U.S. Army in 1965, and served in the Vietnam War and was a decorated veteran.
Rod was a professional floor installer for more than 30 years and worked in Spokane and Missoula.
Rod had a passion for fishing and watching NFL football games while hanging out with his four-legged buddies Oprah and Schnitzel, his beloved schnauzers. Our Rod will be forever missed and loved by everyone he touched. Rod’s heart was enormous and filled with love and friendship for all. Rod would greet you with his beaming smile, and give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Rod left his imprint on many of hearts, especially Cynthia, his soulmate, whom he deeply loved and admired. There are many people that we meet in our lives, but only a few will make a lasting impression on our minds and hearts, and that person was you, Rod.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January. 5, at the new Western Montana State Veterans Cemetery, at 1911 Tower St. A potluck reception will follow at the VFW Club at 245 W. Main St. to pay your respects.
Garden City Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
