Missoula - Robin Linnea Pierson, 44, passed away Tuesday, October 4 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Robin was born June 1, 1972 in Scappoose, Oregon. She attended Scappoose High School. Robin played on the high school basketball team and was on the Rose City Skiers water ski team. Her grandmother Velma instilled her passion for music while Robin was in high school. She graduated in 1990.
Robin attended her beloved University of Oregon in the music education department. She went on to graduate with a Music Education Degree and taught junior high students for two years in the public school system.
Robin and her husband Trev met while at the University of Oregon. They were married January 10, 1998 in Bend, Oregon. They shared a love of nature, back packing and numerous winter sports. They lived in Bend for 5 years. Living in Missoula had always been in their plans so in 2001 they made the move. Trev continued to work for the Forest Service while Robin stayed with A.G. Edwards.
On June 14, 2008 they welcomed their beloved son Jake, which rounded out their official “Team Pierson”.
One year later in 2009 Robin made a professional change and joined the KLO Group at Merrill Lynch. She was passionate about her career and loved coming to work.
During the last year of her fight with cancer she continued to do the things that were most important to her. During the summer Robin was the Little League “Dug-out Mom” for Jake’s baseball team; she joined Jake while he attended Camp Marshall church camp; “Team Pierson” went to Lake Tahoe to spend time with their college friends and their families from Oregon; enjoyed a week-end at Flathead Lake and went river rafting with friends and families from Missoula.
Robin’s life will leave a lasting presence for all who were blessed to cross her path.
She leaves behind her husband Trev, son Jake, parents George and Viola Hulit, sister Shelby Cunningham (Jerry) and nieces; Jami, Jacki and Sophia.
A memorial service will be held for Robin on Thursday, October 20 at 3:00 p.m., at the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church, located at 130 S. 6th St. E. in Missoula, Montana.
