Roberta J. Long

On December 5th, 2014, God gained a beautiful soul with the passing of Roberta "Jean" Forry Long, 71, of Huson, Montana. Jean passed away at her home in Huson in the loving arms of her family.

Jean was born in Butte, Montana to Ervin Forry and Francis Forry Woods on March 18, 1943. She graduated high school from Superior High School in Superior, Montana. She continued her education in Spokane, Washington. Where she met her husband. She married Wilburn "Will" Long on March 9th, 1963 in Coeur d'Alene, ID. After traveling throughout the US and Germany, they settled in to live and raise their family in Lewistown, MT and then retired in the Missoula valley. Jean enjoyed raising and training horses, painting, reading, writing, crafts and wood working. Jean's writing was published in several poetry books and she was awarded Editors Choice twice by the National Library of Poetry. She was a member of the Huguenot Society, First Families of Montana and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Jean cherished her family and friends above all and she loved each and every one of you.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Francis Forry Woods, Ervin Forry; her sister, Janice Forry; and her grandson, Andrew "AJ" Sanger.

Jean is survived by her spouse of 51 years, Wilburn "Will" Long of Huson; her son Michael (Stephanie) Long of Blair, NE; her daughters Kathryn (Daryl) Huff of Concrete, WA and Stephanie (Robert) Bull of Huson, MT; her grandchildren, James Isaacs, Joseph Isaacs, Michael (Katie) Long, II, Allen (Lindsey) Henry and Kayla Rasmussen; great grandson, Cooper Long and longtime family friend "Aunt" JoAnn Sullivan as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.

Cremation is under the direction of Sunset Memorial Gardens of Missoula, MT. Private burial will take place at a later date.
