Bob McCracken, 47, of Missoula MT passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his wife and sons on July 31, 2019. A closed memorial service will be held by invitation only. His remains will be placed in the Memorial Wall at Missoula VA Cemetery. Please come to the reception that will be held at Garden City Funeral and Crematory on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 4:00 pm. This is a potluck gathering, so please bring stories and food to share.
Bob was a lifelong mechanic and began his career in the Army during Desert Storm. He loved Montana. He loved people. He loved the color “Bob” orange. And most of all he loved spoiling his wife and teaching his boys what he knew about how to be great young men. He loved to fish, travel and was an avid adventurer. He loved to share stories and to learn about others journeys. Bob was always willing to help anyone in need without hesitation. It was an unusual occurrence to see him without a smile.
Bob is survived by his wife Nora, his sons Garrett (16) and Keegan (15). Bob and Nora had known each other for 22 years, and happily married for 19 of those years. He is also survived by his sisters Lisa (Tim Turner), Beverly McCracken (Carl), Diana (Jerry Martin) and Kris McCracken, and many nephews and nieces. Bob was also survived by many close friends that were considered family. One of which is Andy and Meagan Nay from Dover, Tennessee who are also Garrett and Keegan’s Godparents. He was preceded in death by his mother Nancy, and several Aunts and Uncles. Our family thanks you for being a part of Bob’s life.
