Robert “Bob” Gale Bricker, 91, of Missoula, Montana, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Grizzly Peak in Missoula, Montana.
Sweet Old Bob (S.O.B) as he was affectionally known was born in Akron, Colorado, November 01, 1930, to Shelby E. and Fosta B. Bricker. Following his high school graduation Bob joined the Marine Corps where he served honorably during the Korean War and was discharged from the Marine Corps reserves as a Sergeant.
Bob met and married the former Phyllis Foster and to their union two sons were born, Steven and Michael. He went to work for Frontier Airlines as a station manager and worked all through the Rocky Mountains before the family settled in Missoula.
Bob made a hobby of changing hobbies, but some of the notable hobbies he pursued included, shooting, photography and hiking. He truly loved classical guitar music and his animals and having his “conservative” weekly breakfast with his friends. His family will remember him as someone who everybody fell in love with when they met him, and he will truly be missed by many.
Left to cherish Bob’s memory are his son Mike Bricker and daughter-in-law Beth; granddaughter Emily Bricker and her fiancé Kyle Howard; numerous nieces and nephews, extended and bonus family as well as his special friend Susie DeLange of Kalispell.
Preceding him in death were his cherished wife Phyllis Bricker in 1998 and his son Steven Bricker in 2018 and daughter-in-law Gwen in 2017; his parents Shelby and Fosta as well as all his siblings.
A memorial service will be held at Grizzly Peak on Thursday, February 17th at 2:00 pm. Bob and Phyllis will be laid to rest Friday, February 18th at Western Montana State Veteran Cemetery, Missoula, Montana.
