Robert “Bob” Harlow Egan, 85, of Missoula, passed away on Monday, July 25th, after an extended battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
He was born on January 21st, 1937, in Missoula, to Kenneth and Alpha Egan.
Bob married Joan Schuette on December 22nd, 1984, in Fairbanks, Alaska. They made their home in Fairbanks, until moving back to Missoula in 1990.
He is a 1956 graduate of Hellgate High School. He then went on to receive a BA from University of Montana, and a MA from Long Beach State.
Bob excelled in many talents, including cooking, gardening, wood carving, pottery, and stained glass. He was adventurous, and he and Joan loved their time traveling around the world together and experiencing other cultures.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Joan Egan of Missoula; his three daughters and their spouses; Larisa (Brandon) Ivy, of Arkansas, Lynn (Mark) James, of Alaska, and Jill Rabago, of Washington; and three grandchildren, Mason, Spencer, and Savanna. He is preceded in death by his son, David Egan, and brother, Kenneth Egan.
