Rita Rose Franzen Lundgren

MAXVILLE – Rita Rose Franzen Lundgren, 63, passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, in Missoula of natural causes. She was born Aug. 15, 1952, in Missoula to Walter and Kathrine Franzen.

Rita attended schools in Missoula and Barber College. She married Rick Lundgren on April 9, 1983, and lived in Missoula until moving to Maxville in 2003.

Family and friends were extremely important. Rita enjoyed Jeep racing. She was known for being a great cook. She worked in Missoula several years, most recently at Granite County Hospital. She enjoyed her work and loved her residents.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents and sister Jackie.

Survivors include her husband; sons, Blake, (Amy), Eric, Keith; grandchildren, Maverick, Vanessa, Leah, Mason; several nieces and nephews; brother Mike Franzen and sister Pat Brooks.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at Granite County Museum in Philipsburg with reception to follow.
