Richard Minson

ST. REGIS - Richard A. Minson, 68, of St. Regis, passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at St. Patrick Hospital.





He was born on September. 2, 1940, in Missoula, the son of Louis A. Minson and Theresa C. Minson. He attended Hannah High School in Wyoming.





On January. 22, 1961, he married Judith Marie Eixenberger in Hannah, Wyo. He loved fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, golfing and traveling. Richard was a member of Trestle Creek Golf Course and St. Mary’s Parish.





He is preceded in death by his parents.





His family includes his wife Judy, of St. Regis; son Rance Anthony and children, Carrie and Ryan; daughter Theresa Ann and husband Scott VanHoff and children, Jocelyn, Briana, Malcolm, Leia Plecke, Angela Wells, Mike VanHoff and Lily VanHoff; son Richard Allen and his wife Carla, and children, Richard and Jeremy; daughter Carolyn Elaine and her husband John Ericksen and children, Jonathan, Aaron and Cameron.





A Rosary will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at St. Mary’s Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Superior, with the Rev. Kevin Christopherson officiating. Mass will be at noon, followed by a reception. Cremation will follow services under the care of Garden City Funeral Home.





Pallbearers will be grandsons, Richard, Jeremy, Ryan, Jonathan, Aaron, Cameron and Malcolm. Honorary pallbearers, James, Alton, Charlie, Mare and Joe.





In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Mineral County Medical Foundation for a CAT scan machine.
