Regina Rose Monaco of Missoula MT. passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 19th at her home. She was born on April 9, 1933 in St. Joseph, North Dakota to the late Harry and Rose (Emter) Berger. Regina moved to Butte America where upon she met and married Pio Joseph Monaco on Nov. 09, 1957. They lived in Butte until 1968 at which time they loaded up the family and moved to Missoula. Regina had many interests which included bowling, golfing, card playing and traveling throughout the United States. She was proceeded in death by her parents Harry and Rose. Her husband Joseph who passed in January 1989, her oldest brother Matt (1980) and her sister Tillie (2012) and a daughter Desiree Monaco (2006). She is survived by her children Cynthia Monaco of Shelton, WA, Keith and his partner Kaye Hopp of Florence, MT, Kelvin and wife Tricia and Donald and wife Jennifer all of Missoula and Blaine who lives in Seattle. Regina is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Kristi Monaco of Los Angeles, CA, Bradley Monaco of Riviera Beach, FL, Katie Monaco of Missoula, Breanna and husband Max and daughter Isla Smith of Missoula, Stacey and husband Keith and children Brody and Natalie Partridge of Missoula, Lynette and husband Cody and children Ellie, Addy and Everett of Missoula, Anthony Monaco of Missoula, Caressa and husband Bill and children Adrian, Issac, Jacob and Tristan of Westhope, ND, and Erin Hogan of Dillon MT. Aside from her immediate family Regina is survived by sisters Anna and husband Clemens Fleck of Bismarck, Cecilia Geiger, Helen Stein of Mandan and Agnes Vetter of Linton ND. Brothers Bill and Beatrice Berger, Leonard and Alberta Berger, Raymond and Diane Berger all of Mandan, ND, and sister in law Katie Berger of Pierre, SD. As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service is going to be held in Mandan as well, the date, time and place will be announced at a later date.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday January 6, 2017 at 11 a.m., at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church with a reception to follow at the church.
The Monaco family would like to Thank Rick Evans and his staff at Garden City Funeral Home and Crematory. Also memorials can be made to Partners in Home Care Hospice of Missoula.
