HOT SPRINGS – Raymond Rheinhard Andrew Viegut, 76, of Hot Springs, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, in Missoula.
He was born Jan. 10, 1937, in Wien, Wis., to Harry and Martha (Hirning) Viegut. After graduating from eighth grade, Raymond and his family moved to the Missoula area where he later graduated from high school in 1954. After high school, he joined the Montana National Guard.
On April 9, 1961, he married F. Darlene Anderson. Most of their lives together have been spent in the Hot Springs area.
Raymond was a devoted member of the Hot Springs Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star and Clark Fork Valley Shrine Club. He loved the outdoors. Ray enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Martha and his sister, Rachel Stark. Survivors include his wife Darlene; his children, Scott (Angie) Viegut and Lisa (Phillip) Jordan; brother Allan; aunt Lillian Hirning; grandchildren Cassi, Seth, Colten, Julie and Sydney; great-grandson Hiram; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
Raymond's memorial service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Feb. 16, in the Lone Pine Hall, where a potluck reception will follow. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
