Phyllis Mae Senechal

Phyllis Mae Senechal, of Lolo, MT, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2015 of natural causes at the age of 92.

She was born Phyllis Mae Spoklie on April 29th, 1923 in Minot, North Dakota to Alfred and Serene Spoklie.
She married Robert (Bob) Reinke just before Pearl Harbor and moved to Chicago and then to San Diego to stay close to Bob as he served for our country in the Navy. At the end of the war they returned to North Dakota.

Phyllis was well known for her fashion expertise and successfully managed Stevenson's and Harold's, two of Minot's leading Women's Ready-to-Wear stores. She traveled the country looking for new fashion styles that she introduced to Minot. She was locally active in many civic organizations and enjoyed playing golf at the Minot Country Club
.
In 1969, Phyllis married Leonard O. Senechal and moved to Missoula, MT. They enjoyed many years of traveling the world and at home working in their gardens, where Phyllis became an avid canner and well known for her culinary skills, enjoyed by so many. Quite the entertainer, Phyllis enjoyed hosting extravagant parties and events at her home and was the happiest when surrounded by family and friends.
Following her husband's passing she moved to Sun City Grand, Arizona in 2003 and enjoyed several years in the sun, spending time with her family. She had an active social life including membership at Brookfield Country Club and enjoyed visiting the quaint Arizona towns of Cave Creek, Wickenburg and Williams.
Phyllis was a loving and caring mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt and friend.

Phyllis is predeceased by her parents, daughter Rebecca Jean; sister, Jean Spoklie Ballantyne; daughter in-law Betty Reinke, Robert Reinke and Leonard O. Senechal.

Survivors include Donovan Reinke, Gregg Reinke, Julie Reinke Gilbert (Robert) including eight grandchildren and five nieces and nephews.

Thanks to everyone at Aaron Care Group Home for the loving care they provided Phyllis in the last years of her life.
