MISSOULAâ,**– Pete left this life to go and be with his beloved wife Anne of 60 years on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013.
Born Peter Aloysious Ducharme on Aug. 22, 1919, in Pablo, he moved to St. Ignatius with his parents Peter Ducharme and Elsie Ryan. Pete was educated for a brief period, but that never stopped him from being a successful father, home owner and hard worker at Intermountain Lumber Co. for 34 years.
Pete served his country in New Guinea and was honorably discharged in 1945. He returned to marry Anne Downs in October the same year.
Pete and Anne were avid bowlers in their younger years. Pete also enjoyed going to his Flathead Lake property every weekend, sometimes longer. He loved to watch the Mariners, Griz games and many other sports.
Survivors include his three children, Randi Edwin of Charlo, Linda Deshamps of Missoula and Dan Ducharme, also of Missoula.
At Pete's request, no services will take place. The children would like to thank Hospice of Missoula for their care and services.
