On Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, our community lost an outstanding musician. Paul died peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his life, Robin, and his cat, Stanley, after a long fight with cancer.
Paul was born Nov. 7, 1957, to Col. Ret. William and Edith Jones in San Francisco. He attended several grade schools in the Bay area, and graduated high school from Galileo High School in San Francisco in 1975. Paul moved to Missoula immediately following graduation to pursue his career in music. He was a member of several different bands: Northern Fancy, Billy Ray Band, Julie Bug & Northern Exposure, Mark Duboise & Crossroads. He also played Greek music, solo, in various churches and restaurants.
In 1992, Paul met the love of his life, Robin Gould, and they have been together since. Paul and Robin loved to travel, listen to music, watch movies, go out to restaurants and concerts and spend time with family and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, mother and sister, Pat. Survivors include his wife, Robin; brothers, William C. (Louise) and William Noel (Kathy); sisters, Tina (Dick) and Gail (Emeric); step-parents, Gus and Carol Minjares; mother-in-law, Mary Gould; brothers-in-law, Dr. Richard Gould (Kathy), Brent (Belen) and Guy; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, Garden City Funeral Home, where a potluck reception will follow in the Community
