Norman LeRoy Treichel

June 7, 1946 — January 22, 2022

Norman LeRoy Treichel, 76, of Missoula, passed away on January 22, 2022 at Providence St. Patrick Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born June 7, 1946 in Missoula to Daniel and Mildred Treichel, he was raised with two older siblings Harry Treichel and Betty (Treichel) Lyon.

Norman attended Franklin Elementary and Hellgate High School until age 16 when he decided to join the U.S. Navy. He was a torpedoman and served from 1963 to 1965.
After he was honorably discharged from the Navy he moved around a bit but then came home to Missoula where he worked in janitorial services until he retired. Norman enjoyed making numerous things out of leather and plastic canvas, but when he no longer could he liked to relax and do cross word puzzles.

Norman is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Mildred, his brother Harry and one niece.
He is survived by his sister Betty (Treichel) Lyon, four nieces and extended family and friends.
