The lord has called home Norma Jeanne Jones Waddington, 67, of Missoula, on the early morning of Monday, Sept. 8, 2014. She passed away peacefully with the love of her life by her side.
She was born Jan. 23, 1947, in Deer Lodge to Norman "Bud" and Jeanne Jones. She attended grade school in Deer Lodge, but graduated from Missoula County High in 1965. As a young woman, she was an active member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, where she also served on the advisory voard.
On Oct. 2, 1973, she married the love of her life, Michael Waddington. They raised their children in Bonner and also resided in Tucson, Arizona. She enjoyed being a housewife, mom and grandmother to seven beautiful grandchildren. She cherished the time she spent with her puppies. She loved spending time at the cabin at Lake Inez and traveling to see the grandkids.
Norma is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 41 years, Mike Waddington; three daughters and their families, Sue (Scott) Smith (USAF), Brittani (USAF) and Maddi of Fairfield, California, Mary Pethtel, Christopher and Courtney of Boise, Idaho, Wendy (Scott) Stephens, Molly, McKenna and Maci of Vancouver, Washington; her brother, David Jones of Missoula; her sister-in-law, Bev Jones of Canyon Ferry; and several nieces and nephews. Norma will be anxiously waiting at the "return desk" for her dearest friend of 46 years, Ginger Battles of Klamath Falls, Oregon. Also her dear friends Karen Currier and Darlene Guerdette.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Norman "Bud" and Jeanne Jones; and her brother, Bob Jones.
God was calling you home. He needed another angel to help pour out the rain.
Tears have fallen, hearts were shattered, but it was time for you to fly home.
Your loved ones came to say their last goodbyes, to tell you once again how much you are loved and that you will be forever missed.
As your heartbeat stopped and your eyes slowly closed, God took another angel home.
