Nadine Marie Fuchs (Nuxoll) passed away peacefully on July 14, 2024, in Missoula, Montana, at the age of 82. Born on August 16, 1941 in Greencreek, Idaho, to Albert and Hildegarde Nuxoll, Nadine grew up surrounded by a loving family. Upon completing her education at Kinman Business University, she worked for a short time in Lewiston, Idaho prior to her marriage to John in September 1961. They immediately moved to Olympia, WA where John was called to serve for the Army, the first of several homes they would have along their journey together.
Nadine was a devoted mother and wife, staying busy with kids and all their activities. It would be hard to find a more enthusiastic fan than she was at their sporting events! Once the kids grew older, she worked part time at the Lolo Grocery Store and later at the Lolo Public School. She was also a dedicated member of the Spirit of Christ Catholic Church in Lolo.
Nadine is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Fuchs; her children, Susan Melder (Craig), Pam LaFerte (Mark), Mike Fuchs (Pam Silvers), Mark Fuchs (Ivy Irvine), and Chris Fuchs (Bethany); her cherished grandchildren, Geoff, Alyssa, Ethan, Jilian, John, Alex, Aaron, Lennon, Katie, Lucy, Isabelle and great granddaughter Grace. Nadine was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Gerald, Ivan, Giles, and Rod Nuxoll.
Special thanks are offered to the two women bystanders who are unknown to us, for their kind assistance to John and Nadine at the time of Nadine’s passing. One could say the Guardian Angels were on duty that day.
A vigil service will be held on Sunday evening at 7pm at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 1475 Eaton St., Missoula, MT. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Missoula on Monday, July 22nd at 11am, followed by a lunch and then a graveside service at Western Montana State Veterans Cemetery. The family is being assisted by Garden City Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research michaeljfox.org.
